But here is what I can promise you. You did find this. Inside a tile. At the bottom of a page. With an obscure quote on it. That is the audience this model is selling to. That is the audience the slot is the slot for. If you are reading this paragraph, you are the reason the model can exist at all.
itethered has previously stated it will never sell ads or collect data on its readers. That remains true — with this one exception.
Mr Miner is not a person. Mr Miner is everyone who shows up. This is the tile that lives at the bottom of itethered. It is itethered-specific. The slots here stay here — they do not share a name list, a dollar pool, or a ledger with any other site this operator runs. I am not selling influence here. I am selling my ability to keep doing this work.
The model
Any donation of $25 or more gets you a slot in this tile for one full year. Equal footprint with every other slot. Nobody buys bigger letters in here. Twenty-five dollars and five thousand dollars carry the same visible presence on the page. The slot is the slot.
One exception, on purpose
A partner who agrees to cover itethered's operating costs — around $200 a month, paid monthly — gets the largest slot in this tile. The bigger size is the bigger commitment. A recurring monthly payment carries more weight than a one-time annual one, and I am honest about that on this page rather than quietly somewhere else. One slot. One partner. One exception.
This partner can step away at any time. Just tell me. No thirty-day notice required. When the partner steps away, the larger slot reopens to whoever wants it next on the same monthly terms.
Renewal
At the end of your year, the annual slot is yours to renew at your original amount — locked in, no matter what anyone else is paying. As long as you keep showing up, the amount you came in at is the amount you stay at. Or let it lapse. Your call.
What you get, and what you don't
You get visible presence in this tile. You get receipts as they come in. You get the work itself — on its own clock, with no quiet ask for your approval.
You do not get influence over what gets published, who gets named, how a page reads, or what subject the work covers. The slot is the slot. The work is the work. The line between them does not move.
